Self-host Notion for your business with Anytype
Self-hosted Pool Services Dash in Anytype

Anytype is the open source alternative to Notion or Obsidian - organize any type of data or content locally on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android or iOS, then backup the encrypted Anytype vault to your self-hosted anysync node.

Upon creating your profile, you’ll receive your very own 12 word mnemonic "Recovery" phrase to protect your account. This phrase is generated on-device and represents your master key generated upon signup, similar to a Bitcoin wallet. It also prevents anyone - including Anytype or Formable - from accessing your account and decrypting your data.

All data you create will be stored locally (on-device) first. Anytype uses zero-knowledge encryption, meaning that your data is encrypted before it leaves your device to sync with other devices or backup nodes.

Formable recommends using your cloud hosted anysync backup node instead of local-only mode. In local-only mode data will only be synced across verified devices in your local network. If you also choose to backup your Docker volumes to AWS S3 with Kopia, snapshots of your Anytype backup are then taken on schedule.

Formable stays updated with Anytype‘s Docker Compose repository to launch Anysync backup instances.
