Like streaming services subscriptions at home, many small businesses face rising monthly fees for browser based apps. Formable helps you cut costs long term by replacing some of those services with tested self-hosted open source alternatives.

Formable runs on the self-hosted apps we manage - Ghost, Typebot, Mattermost, Vaultwarden, Docker/Portainer and a custom PyroCMS based app we host for members, FireTower. It is hosted on the Oracle Cloud Free Tier with 3 free Ubuntu instances. Formable can setup a server for your small business on Ubuntu instances at Oracle, Linode or AWS.

Formable requires you use your own accounts for domain registration, hosting, S3 backup and Mailgun so you or your small business have direct contracts with your cloud providers, along with complete billing transparency.

Formable's FireTower uses the forge.laravel.com API to deploy and manage the latest secure Ubuntu web server configuration for your server. This includes Nginx proxy setup and automated Let's Encrypt certificates for all your apps. We can add your public PGP key to the server for full SSH access, or transfer it to your Forge account.
